This involves the placement of a metal titanium post into the jawbone that serves as an anchor for a replacement tooth or dental bridge. The surgery is typically done in stages and may require several visits to complete
• Bone grafting. In some cases, a patient’s jawbone may not be strong enough to support a dental implant. In these situations, bone grafting procedures may be necessary to build up the jawbone and provide a solid foundation for the implant
• Simple and surgical tooth extractions. Sometimes, the teeth must be extracted due to severe infection or overcrowding. At Distinctive Dentistry of Eugene, Oregon, we offer both simple and surgical tooth extractions depending on the complexity of the case
• Root canal therapy (endodontic therapy). When the dental pulp, or the innermost layer of a tooth, is damaged or infected, root canal therapy may be necessary to save the tooth. This treatment removes the infected tissue and the filling of the space with a special material to prevent further infection
